10, 9, 8, 7....

We had the Mowerys over for one of our weekend picnics. They are dear friends and we are so glad they moved back to PA!! Now our girls can have "cousins" close by! As you can see from the picture that "cousins" wouldn't be too hard of a sell.

They brought over the rocket Kimmy got for her birthday. It had some serious launching power! We set it off in the front yard and had to retrieve it from the field a few acres behind the house!

Looking for the rocket... hope there is not poison ivy!

We gathered all the candy from the parade that morning and put it in Ella's pinata that she made in Spanish class. It held up for all but one child to hit it.... so we let Kimmy do the final "smashing". You don't realize what a violent game it really is until the 17 month old watching begins shaking and crying because he just saw children pulverizing a blue "ball". Oh my! Note to self... do not get an Elmo pinata for Owen's 2nd birthday lest he believe that we are actually cheering on the assault of his favorite character!
