We celebrated Memorial Day Weekend with many picnics, yard work and relaxing. Our tradition is to kick off the events with the Harleysville parade on Saturday. This was Owen's first parade. He was in awe! He sat wide-eyed the entire time. He hardly made a sound, but he occasionally pointed with his mouth open. At the end of the parade, he spontaneously began clapping. We determined that he must have enjoyed himself. He is rarely left speechless... but with the trucks, horses, tractors, fire engines and candy he had little time to comment. He slept for nearly 4 hours that afternoon so I assume he was dreaming all about it:)
Our "spot" - camped out for the parade.
Woah... check out that tractor....
And they throw me candy too... I better eat this before mom realizes what's going on!
Got a little teary eyed... remembering my grandfather who was a marine in WW2. Thank you Grandpa O for your service to our country.
