The Meaning of Christmas

Whew! Okay... I can't get that behind in my blog again. Too much to catch up on... and then I don't write about the incidental happenings like Owen writing all over Ella's walls & the kitchen floor, Makenna accidently text messaging one of Scott's clients, the first time Owen said "I love you Mom" and the joy of watching Ella fall in love with reading.

This week I had Owen's 2 year appt. at Picture People... can I just say that this December birthday thing is going to drive me crazy! It's not just the overload of presents and the fact that no one needs another party to attend... but then there is the scheduling of the picture & well visit during an already busy month. Celebrating the half birthday is sounding like a superb idea.

Anyway, I digress. The Picture People is located right across from all the holiday mall entertainment - train, photo ops with the big guy, etc... So we come out of the store and Owen says, "Mommy, I go see Satan".... uh, yikes! Hum, let's practice saying it this way SAN-TA!

It made realize though that until last week he had no idea who Santa even was and still just thinks he is Pop-Pop in a red suit. However, he has been very obsessed with Baby Jesus and is able to point out every nativity scene. We, as parents, have such an opportunity to shape his view of Christmas.
